The Make It Real Award is the annual prize that Bio to B - Indusrtry Days Doc gives to professionals who have distinguished themselves in the field of film production and distribution, documentary and otherwise.
This year the award will go to Tom Quinn, founder and CEO of Neon, director, producer, and screenwriter.
Quinn co-founded the independent distribution label Neon in 2017, which distributes Anora, an Oscar-winning film that has already won the Palme d'Or. Neon has distributed major award-winning films at the Cannes Film Festival including 2023‘s Anatomy of a Fall, 2022’s Triangle of Sadness, 2021‘s Titane and 2019’s Oscar-winning Parasite, as well as acclaimed, multi-award-winning documentaries such as 2021‘s Flee and 2022’s All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, Golden Lion at Venice.

2023 - Philippa Kowarsky, founder of the acclaimed distribution company Cinephil
2019 - Diane Weyermann, producer of the award-winning Green Book, RGB and Roma
2018 - Simon Chinn, award-winning producer and two-time Oscar winner with Searching for Sugar Man (2013) and Man on Wire - A Man Between the Towers (2009) .
