After being the protagonist of the 20th edition of Biografilm, the artist gives the city one of his works at the Bombicci primary school
The work is realised as part of the educational and social inclusion project Tutta un'altra storia by Biografilm 2024 with the collaboration of the Porto-Saragozza District, the Municipality of Bologna and the Istituto Comprensivo 8 and with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the project Beyond the Wall.
The meeting with young people in situations of marginality, this year a group of girls guests of the Oikos youth educational community in Bologna, gave rise to the idea for the mural, which will be entitled Shadows of the Past and will depict a woman opening a bag labelled ‘past’, from which emerges a dark and intangible figure. This moment marks the beginning of the transformation, the beginning of an important conversation with the past.
We would also like to thank the Bombicci school, the Oikos youth educational community and the 2 August Social Centre for their contribution to the project.
The mural will be unveiled on Friday 7 October.
